What is Yamuna Body Rolling?
Yamuna Body Rolling (pronounced yuh-muh-nuh) is a self-maintenance healing system by Yamuna Zake (30+ years). It uses experiential anatomy to help you align structurally, resolve pain patterns, prevent injury, and maintain proper function. With correct education and consistent practice, results come faster—remember: a ball is just a ball without the right education.
What happens in a Yamuna class?
Your practitioner guides you through a bodywork session using body weight, breath, and a 6–10" air-filled ball. You’ll learn routines to align the body, break repetitive-motion injuries, release pain patterns, lengthen muscles, and create joint space—beyond basic stretching or foam rolling. Expect to leave feeling lighter, freer, taller, and more mobile.
How do i know which class to attend?
Body Balance Studios runs small-group classes for personalized care. On arrival, Kim and the team assess participants’ injuries/goals, then tailor the routine so each person gets targeted attention.
What should I wear to class?
Comfortable or workout-style clothing.
What should I bring to class?
Just yourself and great energy—we provide mats, props, and tools.
How do I order Yamuna props, and tools?
Order on our website by clicking here. Deliveries typically arrive in 3–5 days.
Does it hurt? Will I be sore?
You control the depth and intensity, with guidance and modifications for all bodies. Some people feel mild, workout-like tenderness for 1–2 days—this is a good sign that unhelpful patterns are changing.
Is there parking?
Yes—ample parking behind the building, with the studio entrance at the rear.
How do I pay and sign up?
Book and pay online (recommended—classes fill quickly).
How much are classes?
See current pricing and packages on our pricing page.
How many classes should I attend?
Start with at least 5 classes. Each session builds understanding and alignment. Many students continue weekly for long-term maintenance; no two classes are the same—content adapts to attendees and the day’s focus.
Kim’s recommendation for beginners?
Do 3 private 1:1 sessions plus 5 group classes, and get a personal set of Yamuna balls for optimal results.
