Certified in Animal Flow

Zach is a Certified Animal Flow Level 1 Instructor specializing in functional movement and mobility training to help people move better in real life. Animal Flow is a ground-based quadrupedal (on all 4 limbs) movement system that blends strength, coordination, and active mobility through fluid, animal-inspired patterns—all without equipment.

After years of sitting at a desk, he personally experienced the stiffness, tight hips, and achy shoulders that come with modern life. Animal Flow and intentional mobility training helped reverse those limitations by reconnecting his body to fundamental movement patterns. In class, the focus is opening restricted areas, improving posture, and building resilient strength so your body feels capable, not fragile.

Whether you’re looking to prevent injuries from surfing, stay strong for running, or keep up with energetic kids, the goal is to help you move with confidence and ease—supporting longevity, athletic performance, and everyday readiness.

On the emerald island of Kauai—where waterfalls thread through ancient mountains and the Pacific stretches endlessly toward the horizon—Karen O’Connell hosts retreats that invite guests to slow down, awaken their creativity, and reconnect with the natural rhythm of life.

A multifaceted creative, Karen brings together art, Human Design, and nourishing meals designed to feel both inspiring and deeply restorative. As a passionate plein air painter, she guides guests in the simple pleasure of drawing and painting outdoors, where the shifting island light, lush valleys, and ocean blues become both teacher and muse.

Her approach is relaxed, playful, and welcoming—making drawing and painting feel joyful and accessible whether someone is a lifelong artist or picking up a brush for the very first time.

Her gift lies in helping people understand the unique blueprint of their energy and translate it into practical insight for relationships, creativity, and life direction. Sessions often unfold as thoughtful, illuminating dialogues that leave clients feeling both seen and empowered.

Creativity also flows through Karen’s kitchen. She delights in preparing vibrant, nourishing meals using fresh island produce and locally sourced ingredients. Her cooking reflects the spirit of Kauai itself—simple, beautiful, and deeply satisfying—bringing people together around a table where food becomes another form of care and connection.

Each retreat is designed to offer both meaningful experiences and spacious time for restoration. Guests can choose from a range of optional island adventures and wellness offerings including surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, golf, tennis, biking, scenic coastal hikes, therapeutic massage, and meditation.

Whether exploring the ocean, walking through tropical landscapes, or simply resting beneath swaying palms, participants are invited to move at their own rhythm.
